The
Newport Bush Orchestra |
| Unlike a classical orchestra
there is no written music, all the tunes are learned by ear, and
the great thing is that there is no restriction on the type of instrument
played in a bush orchestra. Bush instruments cover all instruments
played in the early days of Australia. These include guitar, fiddle,
tin whistle, mandolin, bass, washboard, stick and black kettle,
accordion, banjo etc. Greg is a professional fiddler and has also
worked as a music teacher in Victorian schools. Gregs enthusiasm
for music is infectious, this is a great opportunity to learn from
him with like minded souls. All ages welcome.
